About the role

We are seeking a career driven self-starter with exceptional communication skills as

a Senior Accountant for the Business Advisory and Accounting areas to join our team. We

require someone who has the drive to succeed and do well in their career. The successful

candidate must have the initiative and mindset to assist our firm to move to the next level.

The direct report will be a director of the firm, and you will be assisting in overseeing a team

of 5 staff.

Duties and responsibilities for the role:

  • Provision of Tax and Business Advice for a variety of Clients in various industries and group structures.
  • Direct relationships with clients.
  •  Assisting with the management of the job work flows of the team and team budgets.
  • Managing an assigned group of clients.
  • The preparation of specialised tax and business advice.
  • Reviewing jobs completed by other staff members and training staff.
  •  Managing direct relationships with clients.
  •  Assistance in the Business and firms development where required

Skills and experience required for the role:

  • Will be required to take personal responsibility The ability to accept personal responsibility for your decision and actions, irrespective of whether the outcome is favourable or not
  • Capable of working independently Must be confident in making decisions independently, and see tasks through to the end.
  • Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills required due to the high volume of written and verbal communication and advice to clients.
  • Completed or near completion of CA.
  • Solid understanding of tax and accounting fundamentals.
  • Strong experience with Xero, Myob, QuickBooks, and other accounting software
  • Proven ability to develop and build client relationships.
  • Ability to build rapport with the team.
  • Experience in managing junior staff and budgets.
  • Previous experience and exposure in complex group tax structures.
