Transport for NSW is delivering a once-in-a-century investment in new infrastructure and services, including Sydney Metro. The first line of this new fully automated railway opened this year and by 2024 will deliver 31 metro stations and more than 66km of metro rail. Planning is also underway for future lines which will shape the way Australias largest city travels, making Sydney Metro the biggest public transport project in the nations history.
Due to growth in our Operations, Customer & Placemaking team, Sydney Metro have exciting opportunities for experienced Senior Transport Network Planner to join our Transport planning work-stream which will focus on Customer and Service Planning across our projects.
You will provide evidence based analytical support, technical knowledge and advice on issues relating to integrated transport and land use planning and network performance that both aids the successful delivery of the Sydney Metro program and its contribution to a world class product
What you will be involved in:
Providing strategic multi-modal transport planning advice to help inform and review design submissions, technical assessments, plans, strategies, proposals and recommendations being discussed or decisions taken at meetings
Provide timely analysis of data, review of evidence, evaluation of options and development of solutions to help inform and address issues both within the transport industry and across interconnected activities
Coordinate Transport for NSWs engagement with intergovernmental transport and planning groups and work to align Transport for NSW goals with other State Agencies and Local Government objectives to achieve a coordinated approach to achieving optimum outcomes
You are a dynamic professional with a strong attention to detail who is looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, complex and high-profile organisation. You will demonstrate working knowledge and experience in the application and review of static and transport simulation modelling outputs to inform design and identify network based trends.
You will have experience in strategic planning in transport fields for major infrastructure and proven ability in the application of TfNSW evaluation techniques, or equivalents, for measuring modal based transport network benefits and performance.
Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as urban planning, engineering or geography, with a transport focus

The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($115137.00 - $ 128,952.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
