An outstanding career opportunity is available for a HSET Co-ordinator at the Companys Mt Carbine operations. Mt Carbine Retreatment Management Pty Ltd, is an emerging tungsten producer in the resource sector that acts as the agent for the unincorporated joint venture between Mt Carbine Retreatment Pty Ltd and CRONIMET Australia Pty Ltd. With the recent refurbishment and commissioning of the Retreatment Plant nearing completion we are seeking an experienced HSET Co-ordinator to contribute to our future development and success.

THE ROLE

The intent of the HSET Co-ordinator is to provide advice and support for the Company by developing and maintaining a close working relationship with all stakeholders.

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assisting Departments in Risk Management Processes;
• Safety Environment and Training Processes & Compliance;
• Assisting with Inspection & Audit Processes;
• Investigating Incidents;
• Completing Reports for the Management Team;
• Promoting a Positive Safety and Environmental Compliance Culture;
• Co-ordinating and Assessing Training and Development of ER Personnel; and
• Auditing & conducting periodic checks of emergency and first aid equipment and facilities.

THE PERSON

To succeed in this role, it is vital for the successful application to have a minimum of 3 years experience in similar roles in heavy industry/mining, emergency response as well as possess strong organisational, computer and communication skills, with a proven ability to work unsupervised, maintain confidentiality and achieve deadlines. Required qualifications include Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety, Cert IV in Training & Assessment and a comprehensive knowledge of the Queensland and Federal legislation.

Mt Carbine Retreatment is located only 500m from the Mt Carbine township on the Mulligan highway central to Mossman, Port Douglas, Mareeba, Julatten and Mt Molloy. Mt Carbine has a rich history of Tungsten production and is strategically and conveniently located only 134 kms from the coastal city port of Cairns, Queensland.
