Senior Bookkeeper/BAS Agent

$70k - $80k package, Bookkeeping for a range of SME's using XERO, Friendly, well established Inner West Company, close to P/transport & parking.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with a passion for supporting SMEs.

In your capacity as a Senior Bookkeeper (registered BAS Agent an advantage) you will provide the full range of activities for our clients such as BAS Services, payroll, reconciliation of key accounts, management of cash flow and reporting, job costings etc.

With a team of 18 colleagues and an ever expanding client base (currently 300+) we are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to empower and inspire small business to create positive social impact.

To be considered for this position you will require:

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting with BAS Agent registration an advantage;
  • Demonstrated experience using accounting software XERO;
  • Experience using software package JCurve would be highly regarded (training provided if necessary);
  • Demonstrated experience assisting small to medium-sized businesses with all aspects of bookkeeping, in accordance with relevant Australian Tax and BAS legislation;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word and email;
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written;
  • A collaborative, committed and trustworthy character.;
  • Experience in a busy office environment dealing with sensitive material;
  • A willingness to work initially with a mentor in our Inner West Head Office, whilst learning our systems.
