Established in 1889, the Queensland Teachers Union (QTU) has chalked up over a century of achievements in helping teachers throughout Queensland. QTU is the voice of more than 47,000 teachers in the Qld Governments primary, secondary, and special schools, including senior colleges, TAFE colleges and other educational facilities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to deliver professional service to union members. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm (9 day fortnight).
The successful applicant will be expected to commence on Monday 6 January 2020.
Create and maintain accurate member records
Perform and understand full invoicing and banking functions
In a call centre environment, communicate with members on membership related matters
Interpret and respond to written correspondence
Outbound calls - recovery of unpaid membership dues
Contribute at team meetings, provide feedback and share ideas.
Able to analyse, take action and record data/information with accuracy
Attention to detail
Be a professional and confident communicator (verbal and written)
Experience in accounts receivable/invoicing
Experience in debt collection
Capacity to work in call centre environment (both inbound and outbound calls)
