We are looking for a long term customer service and sales extraordinaire! Our clients are accustomed to outstanding service delivery but we want to up the anti. Are you up for the challenge


Woden Valley Plumbing & Gasfitting is a leader in Canberra's domestic maintenance plumbing, drainage and gasfitting industry not to mention the gas heating and evaporative cooling service industry. We are a local family owned and operated company with extensive experience providing 5 star customer service to our clientele. Repeat business is our goal through the delivery of exceptional service and communication from our staff.

Who we are looking for... 

We are looking for a long term customer service and sales extraordinaire! Although a 90 day Training Period will be provided to the successful applicant this is a Coordinators role and the successful applicant may have other employees they will manage within a 12mth period. The Senior Service and Sales Coordinator is the first point of call for our clients and staff. We have systems and procedures in place but are excited for the successful applicant to take these to the next level so we are always well ahead of the game! There are a number of long term potential & opportunities within our business for the right person.


One of the most important aspects to this role is to be a caring and compassionate shoulder to lean on for other staff and Directors. They need a mother hen in the office to make sure they have a loving touch at work. Culture is very important to our company and harmony is critical to our workforce. Can you have icy poles in the freezer for hot days Cold drinks or a cake here or there Do you have the ability to see when someone is overwhelmed and actively make change in that persons schedule to relieve some burden Can you be the gate keeper for directors and have the companys best interest at heart. You get the drift


Your job role...

  • Deal directly with customers and staff by phone, electronically and face to face
  • Respond promptly to customer and staff enquiries and bookings
  • Prepare and manage field staff work schedules and assign specific bookings to appropriate technicians
  • Phone and showroom sales
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  • Provide pricing and delivery of information
  • Set up new customer accounts and perform customer verifications where applicable
  • Compose quotations, correspond with relevant clients and provide close communication throughout the process right through to acceptance and completion
  • Process invoices, orders, forms, applications and requests and organise workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints reaching the best result possible for the client, team and the company
  • Manage requests and unresolved issues with the appropriate resource
  • Manage customers' accounts, maintain customer databases and follow up customer interactions
  • Record details of actions taken, inquiries, customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints
  • Liaise with suppliers and field staff to obtain correct parts/materials as required
  • Liaise with licensing and certification departments for lodgements and approvals
  • Maintaining company director communication and feedback including WH&S, technician targets and turnovers, company meeting agendas and achieving required tasks set by company director
  • Manage administration and further develop and monitor efficient systems within the role
  • Communicate and co-ordinate with other staff including field staff
  • Provide feedback and support to Directors where nothing is too much trouble


Work hours will be 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Be a part of our on call team every fortnight by managing phone calls and bookings (Friday evenings, Saturday and Sunday)


The successful candidate will have the ability to;

  • Provide warm, professional and quality service to our clientele to a very high standard
  • Further develop customer service and sales delivery from an administrative and field perspective
  • Research appropriate computer applications and/or software to enhance customer communication experiences
  • To hit the ground running and absolutely own this diverse role with a positive can do attitude

Your qualities must include;

  • High level of leadership to guide, mentor and motivate other staff
  • Must have experience successfully managing staff
  • Be able to roll up your sleeves as required to achieve and maintain work volume
  • Ability to grasp multiple diverse concepts quickly
  • Have relevant clerical trade and service background is a benefit, but not essential
  • Very clear, polite and articulate verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistently upbeat, positive, caring and considerate disposition throughout the day
  • An open mind able to consider problems from many angles
  • Solid sales ability of our services & products to our clients over the phone and in our showroom
  • Strong understanding of etiquette and accountability to uphold and deliver on exceptional correspondence including:
    • email;
    • text messaging;
    • verbal;
    • in person
  • Engaging and compelling style of writing
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Friendly and calm disposition in all situations
  • Ability to use various phone systems
  • Be familiar with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, Mail Chimp and Outlook
  • Experience using Xero and/or ServiceM8 is a benefit, but not essential
