About Together for Humanity:

Together For Humanity (TFH) provides educational services to students, teachers, and the broader community with the goal of increasing intercultural understanding (ICU) conducting a range of presentations and projects primarily within school settings and beyond.

We do this by partnering with schools and other organisations to convene high quality cross cultural and inter-faith exchanges that fosters goodwill between people of different faiths and cultures.

About the role

The newly created Communications role will deliver an effective, innovative, new and exciting communication program that will lift the profile of TFH with our stakeholders.

1.The communications efforts will lead to an increase in our support base and donations, uptake of our face to face, services and engagement online. The activities of this role will include communication, promotion of fundraising events and campaigns.

2 This role requires a dynamic, flexible and resilient person experienced in written and oral communication, managing diverse relationships with stakeholders, astute social media skills with the ability to manage community comments in a sensitive manner, have basic visual design capabilities.

You will be skilled in juggling competing deadlines , project management, and be excited by the opportunity to deliver integrated projects working in a varied and hands-on role collaboratively with a small but dedicated team.

The CO role is partly funded by a Federal Government grant and private donations.

Key goals:

The Communications Officer is responsible for developing and implementing a communications program that:

Results in effective communication- between TFH and its stakeholders, including the Education and Community Sectors; faith based and culturally diverse communities, potential donors and supporters, and Government

Results in higher profile for TFH

Includes print and online (Website/social media) content creation, management and delivery, and PR, press releases

Promotion of and assisting with fundraising events and campaigns



Develop and document a communications strategy and plan

Manage the production of (including editing) of TFH's communications content and materials including websites ( &, promotional material , invitations, in conjunction with Education and Operations teams

Work with external contractors to ensure the rebrand of TFH is successfully implemented

Create a system for consistent communication by the team including a style guide

Maintain and update website content

Create, edit and manage content for social media platforms as needed

Get coverage of TFH in local and general print & radio media

Creation and management of promotional campaigns and materials for fundraising and other special events.


Develop and manage project plans for responsibilities

Actively participate and contribute as a full member of the TFH team as needed

Maintain positive collaborative working relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
