The Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) is taking a leading role in teaching and learning, professional education and innovation. ITaLI is an integrated teaching, research and service delivery centre for teaching and learning practices at UQ. ITaLI seeks to establish and maintain a flexible operating structure to drive and support innovation and excellence for these activities.
About This Opportunity
As the Executive Assistant you will provide high level executive support to the Director, Institute of Teaching and Learning Innovation, acting as the first point of contact for incoming communications to the Director and trusted to make judgements and communicate on behalf of the Director.
Your role will encompass diary management, using your judgement to assess the needs of the Director, ensuring time is set aside for important tasks and consulting with the Director where required. You will screen incoming documents and approvals to ensure appropriate administrative procedures have been followed, meeting with the Director regularly to obtain approvals and discuss decisions.
You will provide support to the Deputy Directors within ITaLI, as well as the Director in attending meetings, taking minutes and action items and following up with attendees as required. You will also coordinate the travel needs of the Director and Deputy Directors as required.

Our Ideal Candidate
As our ideal candidate, you will have a high level of emotional intelligence, confidence to make independent decisions, and consult with the Director where required. You will have substantial experience in a similar role and experience communicating with high level executives over a variety of mediums. You will also have a high level of organisational skills, be detail oriented and have intermediate skills in using the Microsoft office suite.

What We Can Offer
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 5.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $67,608 - $75,506, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $79,101 - $88,342.
