An outstanding career opportunity is available for a Team Leader Mineral Processing at the Companys Mt Carbine operations. Mt Carbine Retreatment Management Pty Ltd, is an emerging tungsten producer in the resource sector that acts as the agent for the unincorporated joint venture between Mt Carbine Retreatment Pty Ltd and CRONIMET Australia Pty Ltd. With the recent refurbishment and commissioning of the Retreatment Plant nearing completion we are seeking Team Leaders suitably skilled to contribute to our future development and success.
The intent of the Team Leader Mineral Processing will be to supervise shifts and provide Team Leader coverage at Mt Carbine Retreatment Management Pty Ltd. The Team Leader will also assist with the training and development of Plant Operators as well as developing and maintaining a close working relationship with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure compliance with the Companys occupational health and safety policies and procedures;
Pro-actively promote safety awareness amongst all Plant Operators and contract personnel;
Comply with the Companys environmental policies and procedures and relevant regulations;
Ensure safety, metallurgical and production key performances indicators (KPIs) are met;
Optimise product quality and throughput;
Report to daily meetings on manning, production, safety & environmental issues;
Provide on the job training and development for Plant Operators and contract personnel;
Resolve any Plant Operator issues;
Assist Metallurgist with the checking & calibration of equipment & instruments;
Control, plan & supervise Plant Operators during plant shutdowns;
Minimise downtime through effective management and training of Plant Operators;
Monitor consumables usage daily;
Place all direct / service purchase orders with the Processing Manager;
Participate in & report to the daily safety and production meeting;
Measure performance of operators;
Raise plant suggestions where you see a need or benefit to the plant; and
Participate in training and implement the knowledge and skills gained.
To succeed in this role, it is vital for the successful applicant to have experience in similar roles in heavy industry/mining, as well as having a mechanical aptitude, good managerial, numerical and literacy skills. The following are preferred but not essential to the role:
Experience with computer systems;
Workplace Trainer and Assessor Cert 4 and Certificate II, III & IV in Metalliferous Mining (Processing);
Forklift and Skid Steer (Bobcat), Front End Loader Competency or Licences; and
Previous experience in plant operations or a process system.
