We are seeking a motivated Part Time Intermediate or Senior Accountant for a 12-month contract period to join our friendly close-knit team of professionals. This would be a 2 - 3 day per week role & flexible work hours will be considered.
We are looking for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with their clients, has a high attention to detail, and who would be able to help us continue growing the business, with the potential for a permanent role.
Our staff are the most important part of our business - you will be given the freedom to take ownership of this role and make a valuable contribution to the team, while still being supported in decisions and technical advice within your role.
Skills & experience:
Tertiary Degree in Accounting
At least 3 years work experience in a professional firm working on taxation, business services and/or audit engagements.
Possess solid technical ability in individual, company, trust and SMSF accounting and taxation
Experience with Xero and MYOB accounting systems is essential
Audit experience would be highly desirable
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
Be able to work independently with a result driven approach
Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Duties and responsibilities:
Preparing tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSF's
Preparing FBT, BAS, IAS and PAYG payment summaries
Assist with financial audit and compliance assurance engagements
Consulting around taxation, audit and accounting standard research projects
Build strong relationships with clients
Some administrative assistance as required
