Whats the position about

The position will be based at our Elizabeth site, working at a busy reception/front desk providing the first point of contact for customers, members and other stakeholders to the site, providing high quality professional, friendly and respectful management of telephone and email enquiries, reception duties and appointment processes. The focus of the position is to be a champion of excellent internal and external customer care. Under general guidance, the Customer Service Officer will be accountable for a broad range of duties ranging from general administrative assistance and information technology (IT) trouble shooting to support the day to day activities within the office.

What you will need to succeed

  • Customer service focused
  • Proven ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner whilst with the ability to deal with a high volume of incoming calls whilst responding to visitors and staff queries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with the ability to synthesise and analyse information and make decisions.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in partnership with clients, their families/carers, members and support networks to deliver a range of services.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment including the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrated proactive flexibility, initiative and broader skills through assisting and supporting all areas of the Mutual.
  • Excellent computer skills including demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility for some out of hours work.
  • Working knowledge of disability sector and NDIS (desirable)
