As a key part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive in our Blue Star PROMOTE VIC business. This role would suit an accomplished sales professional who can develop, implement and deliver successful sales strategies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and targeting new business opportunities from a diverse range of industry segments and thus must adapt to each of the individual needs of these opportunities, with a view to design and build a strong value proposition for each opportunity.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Achieving and exceeding a new business target of $1M within 12 months
Developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective new customers
Appropriate level of networking and relationship development with key stakeholders
Reporting and collaboration with key Blue Star stakeholders
Key requirements to be considered are:
Ability to identify, qualify and develop key opportunities for sales
Ability to gain an in-depth understanding and insight into a potential customers business model in order to build compelling value propositions
Continuously scanning for prospects to achieve new sales and using the sales tools provided e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator
A solid network of potential new customers
Comfortable presenting to prospects across all levels including C level
Can negotiate skilfully in difficult situations
The ideal candidate will be results driven, consistently setting high business and personal targets and takes action to achieve them. Previous commercial sales experience in promotional merchandise industries and a proven track record of delivering both commercial and corporate sales will be highly advantageous.
