Job tasks and responsibilities
The Staff Operations and Events Assistant fulfils a key operational role within the College and is responsible for, under the direction of the Assistant Principal Organisation, ensuring the smooth running of events. The primary objectives of the Staff Operations and Events Assistant is to ensure cover of classes at the Preston campus for academic staff, who are absent due to leave or due to school related programs, coordination of the internal booking of College facilities, and to facilitate College functions.
The Staff Operations and Events Assistant is required to be professional and courteous and to demonstrate a high degree of judgement, initiative and confidentiality. The Staff Operations and Events Assistant will demonstrate outstanding administration skills and display excellent interpersonal skills.
This position is an ongoing full-time position and attracts seven weeks' school holidays.

The ideal candidate is a customer focused professional, known for their friendly and polite demeanour, attention to detail, execution and energy. The successful candidate will be highly organised and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Impeccable communications skills assures the successful candidate will have confidence when dealing with all stakeholders.
This position requires being able to work independently with the ability to plan strategically.
