As the RSAS National Engineering and Asset Management Leader you will be responsible for leading our design and engineering governance, asset management, and quality and assurance teams within the RSAS group.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager - Rolling Stock Asset Services, your role will have primary accountability for delivering cohesive, effective and fit-for-purpose engineering services to the RSAS delivery teams to ensure we remain compliant with regulatory and statutory requirements and deliver best-practice asset management activities.
As an experienced People Leader, you will be equipped with advanced communication and interpersonal skills, you will also possess a methodical mindset and tenacious approach to your work.
You will have extensive experience within a rolling stock and/or other heavy asset engineering environment, along with a demonstrated working knowledge of best practice asset management and quality systems including ISO55000 and ISO9001.
Most importantly we are looking for someone with a proactive mindset that can work in an ever-changing landscape where a preference for data driven decision making and the ability to get stuck in will see you succeed.

The Rolling Stock Asset Services (RSAS) group has overall responsibility and ownership for managing KiwiRail's rolling stock assets, including mainline and shunt locomotives, freight and specialist wagons, containers, passenger carriages and other rolling stock vehicles.
