National role, Arts investment management, Strategic and cultural leadership.
In this newly created executive position with the Australia Council for the Arts, you will have significant impact and influence within Australia’s vibrant arts and creative sector. This opportunity arises as the Council brings all direct investment into one division.
Key to your success in this leadership role is your ability to embed a strategy which will maximise the public value of the Australia Council’s annual investment in the arts, artists and cultural organisations. You will realise the recently announced strategic objectives and corporate plan goals in collaboration with the executive team. Leading a team of four senior managers, and a broader cross-functional team, you will have oversight and responsibility for the development and implementation of an overarching strategic investment model.
Specifically, you will: -
Develop future strategies and key priorities for arts and cultural investment
Develop measures not only for the economic impact of investments but also social inclusion, health, cultural, education and other returns
Work closely with federal and state arts and cultural agencies, ensuring the Australia Council builds a robust national agenda which is inclusive and ensures arts and cultural expression flourish across the nation and internationally
Perform a critical role in the Council’s ambitious advocacy agenda, alongside other executive and key functions.
Based in Sydney with interstate and international travel as required, you will have formal qualifications in business, financial or fine arts complemented by a strong professional or personal experience in Australia’s arts and cultural sector. An attractive salary is offered, commensurate with the seniority and responsibility of the role.
