About us

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety.
As an important element of the criminal justice system, CSNSW manages offenders in custody and in the community. CSNSW works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that inmates, offenders and their families are supported.

The Program Support Officeractively contributes to a high standard of case management, and static and dynamic security in compliance with the various legislation related to the operations of the centre as well as to Corrective Services NSW policies and procedures.

About the role

This role is required to work from the Balund-a Program Residential Facility, located 22kms south west of the rural town of Tabulam. The successful applicant is required to work shift work and balance the individual needs of offenders whilst maintaining the security of the facility and the safety of the community. Onsite staff accommodation is available when on shift.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Medium rigid licence or willingness/ability to obtain within the first 6 months
  • Current first aid certificate
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal issues and a commitment to work effectively with Aboriginal communities.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
