The role

Join a friendly and supportive high performing team. As communications specialist you will develop internal and external communication strategies to ensure engagement as well as executing strategies to support business objectives.

The role reports to the Manager, Marketing & Communications.


  • Drive planning, implementation and evaluation of internal and external strategies and campaigns
  • Create communications content, including writing and editing of member communication publications, the intranet, internal newsletters, briefing notes, key messages, presentations, media releases and other content as required
  • Plan and execute internal communications, including the coordination and development of content for all staff meetings, CEO updates and other communication.
  • Maintain and coordinate internal communication channels with a focus on the intranet
  • Ensure that internal communication supports key change initiatives around the organisation
  • Ensure that internal communication supports key change initiatives around the organisation
  • Through strong analytics, impact measurement and research, monitor and report on communications

The role will be offered on a full-time ongoing basis.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

  • A tertiary degree in communications or other relevant discipline
  • Five plus years of experience working in an internal and external communications role including media relations
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver high quality internal and external communications strategies
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Outstanding stakeholder management
  • Experience using SharePoint and LiveTiles desirable
  • Knowledge of other relevant areas of expertise such as digital media desirable
