We are looking for a Production Forklift Operator to join our Brisbane Plant based at 137 Montague Road, South Brisbane. Our plant operates continuously throughout the year (24/7, 365 days/year). On this role, you will be working on a rotating shift comprising day, afternoon and night shifts.
Part of a small team of operators and reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be required to deliver completed pallets of glass product from end of production line to storage bays, shift complete pallets for resorting, general housekeeping and most importantly, contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
Youll be driving twin tyne counterbalance forklift (training will be provided), recording product movements using RF Scanners, accurate input of data into IT systems such as SAP. You will also respond to fault alarms on the palletizer machine, plus realigning pallets, changing wrapping, cleaning Resort Strapper Head, pre-start safety checks of equipment as part of your daily tasks.
You will be a reliable and safety conscious person who enjoys working within a strong team of operators. Youll enjoy learning and developing new skills and see challenges as growth opportunities.
You will have a current high risk forklift license as well as a valid drivers licence and experience operating a forklift within an industrial environment. A trade background, while not essential, will be looked on favorably.
You will have a demonstrated commitment to safety and have strong communication skills, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP. You will be physically fit to be able to carry on some heavy duty tasks.
