Apprentice Fitter Machinist

GTES, together with a well-known and respected welding manufacturing business in Wagga, are currently seeking applications from hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated individuals interested in commencing their career as an Apprentice Fitter Machinist.

This business specialises in the manufacture and supply of equipment within the agricultural and transport industries.

Your New Opportunity

To be a successful Apprentice Fitter Machinist you will ideally have/be;

  • An interest in mechanics/ mechanically minded
  • Current drivers licence
  • Interested in technical work
  • Able to handle tools and machines
  • Able to pay great attention to detail
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Good mathematical skills

The successful applicant will ideally have/be;

  • Able to plan and organise
  • Able to problem solve
  • Able to show initiative
  • Ability to learn

You will undertake a 4-year apprenticeship and attend TAFE to obtain this qualification.

The first stage of the selection process is a face to face interview with GTES and successfully shortlisted candidates will be forwarded on for a final interview with the employer.
