External Sales Representative - Mining and Construction
Job tasks and responsibilities
Reporting to the Directors.
This is an external sales position which include related activities (including and not limited to: Cold calling, travelling, reporting ).
Be responsible for sales and margin growth of the entire range of products heavily focused in the Mining, Construction and Transport sector.
Prepare and provide quotations and solutions, tailored for specific needs of the customer and take ownership from concept to completion.
Ability to identify business growth and new market opportunities.
Optimize product penetration with a view towards increasing customer relationships at all levels of the organization.
Skills and experience
Experience and qualifications required;
-Technical and commercial focus with at least 3 years of sales expertise of industrial mechanical products and solutions.
-Possess ability to communicate technically with end-users.
-Engineering or technical qualification is advantageous, but not mandatory.
-Proven capability and dedication in generating and securing new business, consultative sales discussion and building long-term relationships with the customers.
-Should have an enquiring and energetic nature with good organisation skills.
-Proficient in all levels of sales process: prospecting, strategy development, quoting, negotiating and closing an opportunity
-Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in the hydrocarbon transfer industry and have knowledge of the various styles of pumps, reels etc however a person with sales experience in related industrial products such as valves, hydraulics, filters etc will be considered.
-Previous experience in any ERP and CRM systems an advantage.
