We have an exciting teaching opportunity for an individual to join our team in the School of Engineering. The School of Engineering has an excellent national and international reputation in its core areas of electrical and mechanical engineering, engineering management, mechatronics and autonomous systems, and aviation with extensive collaborative research projects and industry links with Australian enterprises as well as with organisations and research institutions from around the globe, particularly Asia and Europe.
The School has a long-standing commitment to end-user focused research, which it conducts in collaboration across the University, including the Future Industries Institute, and with national partners and international partners.
With a direct reporting line to the Head of School: Engineering, this role will make an outstanding contribution to the School’s teaching and leadership activities in the Applied Physics discipline, including Engineering Physics, Aviation Physics and Medical and Health Physics. Skills and Experience
Do you have a doctoral qualification in applied physics or a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or professional/industry experience within applied physics including registration with an appropriate professional body, along with the ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources If so, this would be a great opportunity for you.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who has experience using contemporary teaching methodologies, competence in using the necessary digital techniques and the ability to effectively teach large classes.
You must be an excellent communicator with high level organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
