About the role
We are delighted to be recruiting a Project Director within our Corporate Services team.
In this role, you will create the vision and strategies and ultimately deliver projects that make an impact within the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment ensuring that they are delivered in a cost effective and efficient delivery manner.
You will be strategically minded and able to build, influence and negotiate relationships and outcomes both internally and externally as well as understanding the importance of cultivating a positive team culture and taking team members on the journey with you.
You will leverage your skills and knowledge to provide leadership, governance and direction to transform service delivery and champion change. You will bring their viewpoints to the table and help build awareness.
You will have a tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience leading large and complex projects. Project experience within government will be considered desirable and please tell us about this within your cover letter.
A proven track record in the ability to liaise and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders will be advantageous coupled with exceptional communication skills.
About our team
The Planning, Industry and Environment Cluster (DPIE) was formed in 2019. The Cluster drives greater levels of integration and efficiency across key areas such as long-term planning, precincts, housing, property, infrastructure priorities, open space, the environment, our natural resources – land, water, mining – energy, and growing our industries. There is a strong emphasis on regional NSW.
This role will work within our Corporate Services division and play a pivotal role in the department.
