The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervise, direct, co-ordinate and monitor boning room operations for assigned production area
- Understands and implement/enforce the requirements for each of the SOPs that are relevant to this department e.g. EU, halal, SA, FRL, BSE etc
- Production scheduling and supervision of staff
- Directly responsible for boning room & associated operations
- Maintain the daily running of FSQA system in the boning room
- Ensure that all operatives are trained up as required otherwise direct necessary training to rectify
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant statutory export meat requirements and AQIS Notices and ensure that all statutory requirement are met
- Participate in training programs for Supervisory Staff as authorised by the Plant Manager
- Ensure all equipment is in a satisfactory state of use
- Carry out internal quality audits as directed by the FSQAM and ensure corrective action is taken when critical limits are exceeded
- Implement corrective action where processes do not conform to standards or limits prescribed in the FSQA Manuals
- Ensure carcass identification and correlation is maintained at all times during boning room procedures
- Ensure production and quality targets are met
- Oversee personal hygiene, preoperational and operational hygiene procedures as set down in SSOPs
- Liaise with AQIS Inspection Staff in boning room
- Liaise with Boning Room Supervisor, FSQAM and FSQAOs on all matters relation to FSAQ and training
- Attend Management Review Meetings in the absence of the Boning Room Supervisor

- Sound technical knowledge of meat processing.
- Proven capacity to maintain productivity levels.
- Ability to maintain an appropriate skill mix in order to maximise productivity.
- Understand and comply with Workplace Health and Safety standard
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of the team and individually
- Ability to follow JBS Australia Policies and Procedures
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate and work seamlessly with internal stakeholders
