Skytech Group is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer based in Melbourne, Victoria; Adelaide, South Australia and Darwin, Northern territory. This position includes overseeing sub-contractors as required. Working Monday- Friday, with possible over-time in peak periods. Previous experience in Civil works and in a similar position is required to be successful for this role.

Within this position, your duties will include
Assess the impact on air, water, soil and noise levels in the vicinity of engineering projects, plans and designs equipment and processes for the treatment and safe disposal of waste material, and assess what may cause problems for the environment in the long-term.
Ensuring all compliance, legislation and HSQE requirements are met and supporting the business needs.
Having strong knowledge of technical HSE risk issues and an understanding of current WHS and Asbestos legislation and regulations vary in different states and be able to apply these to assist Directors to develop their safety leadership skills and confidently demonstrate visible leadership
Inducting new employees based in Victoria and South Australia about HSE and site inspection
Monitoring the health and safety of our crews to ensure their work has complied with HSE requirements, especially ACM removal requirements, temporary storage of asbestos and permit to transport asbestos waste
Regular HSE auditing and managing HSE topics relevant to ACM removal
Help to lead the company to adopt additional environmental sustainable practices
Managing HSE incident in the workplace
Willingness and ability to travel interstate regularly to manage our projects conducted throughout Australia
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work as a part of a team, but also able to take own initiative and work independently
