11am 7:30pm Monday Friday

NF McDonnell and Sons is a leader in the softwood timber industry providing quality products to both the domestic and export markets. Based in Mount Gambier and established in 1944 our company has always stayed true to its motto of continual improvement is how we do business. Our sawmill boasts the most state of the art equipment and technology for processing small diameter sawlogs in Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Officer to join our team. The person will also be trained and required to backup roles within Despatch. This is a fulltime position offering an attractive salary of $60,500. This position is subject to successful completion of a probation period.

Essential Key Competencies and Selection Criteria:

  • High levels of flexibility, initiative and willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks.
  • Proficient data entry, keyboard and word processing skills.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant computer software and its application (particularly TimberSmart, Word, Excel and the Microsoft Office suite of programs).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team situation.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and recognising times when matters require referral to the Sales and Logistics Manager / General Manager / Mill Manager.
