Sprinkler Fire Systems Project Manager Sydney $175K + Super 2 Year Contract

This privately owned business has over 20 years of proven success in the fire systems and suppression market in NSW. With 100 plus staff in NSW and is expanding their highly successful business nationally, beginning with Brisbane in 2021.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fire Systems, Project Manager located in Australia (my client will not sponsor for this role for overseas candidates) who has a background dealing with major contractors in the industrial, commercial, residential, manufacturing and infrastructure sites. This is an excellent opportunity within a growing state based company that will give the successful candidate plenty of room to move and advance through this organisation.

Your main responsibilities in this position will be:-

  • Lead project planning sessions
  • Coordinate staff and internal resources
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines
  • Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participate in tender process i.e. design, submission and review
  • Design risk mitigation plan
  • Conduct project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimize and improve processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Control and coordinate project activities and ensure those assigned projects are completed to the client satisfaction and to meet quality, time and profit objectives.
  • Complete assigned projects in compliance with client expectations, company objectives and all contractual documentation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to statutory regulations, particularly in regard to safety.
  • Act on behalf of the organisation in discussions with clients and their agents, subcontractors, site personnel, suppliers and the general public
  • Monitor construction progress and update construction programs and forecasts as required in line with physical and financial targets.
  • Report to Construction Manager on any situations which may affect the organisations operations.
  • Ensure optimum utilisation of personnel and equipment at each site, and the security of material and equipment.
  • Prepares Monthly Reports in conjunction with the CA.
