As per growing needs of business, a position has become available for the General Accountant in our Auburn office.
As an Accountant, you will be required to:
Work closely with the chief accountant, prepare profit and loss statements, and balance sheets, payrolls and bookkeeping for the College
Assist the chief accountant on general accounting issues, and to advise on specific accounting issues relating to cash flow and credit issues.
Monitor and analyze income, outgoings, identify and resolve problematic issues.
Manage and organize high volumes of financial information and data.
Manage accounts using MYOB.
Resolving accounting discrepancies
Analyze business operation, trends, costs revenue, financial commitments & obligations to project future revenues, expenses or to provide advice
Develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping accounting system making use of accounting software.
Financial forecasting, budgeting, cash flows and risk analysis.
Other tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
At least 2 years relevant experience (Preferably in CRICOS RTOs sector)
Bachelors degree in commerce or accounting
Enthusiastic, self-motivated committed, a good communicator and reliable team player
High level of accountability with the ability to accept responsibilities and ownership
Display initiative with a positive attitude
Strong desire to learn and grow with the business
Ability to work without supervision
High level of accuracy, time management and delegation skills with the goals of achieving and maintaining efficient and effective work practice
Contribute effectively to team meetings
Demonstrate commitment to, and support of team decision
Strong IT skills particularly in the use of spreadsheets and accounting software.
Salary : $55000- $65000 p.a.
