About the role


Heart Bookkeeping are searching for a unique individual who will play an integral part in our future growth plans.  

You will become the key contact for a number of our clients, provide training and support to other team members and be responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of the highest quality output to our clients and their stakeholders.

As well as day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as Activity Statement preparation/review, payroll processing, Xero set-up, support and reconciliations you will also be involved in designing and implementing process improvements within our client's accounting functions.

We embrace technology to streamline our internal and client bookkeeping processes so your experience and confidence in using IT will be important to your success.

This role will involve a high degree of autonomy and therefore will suit someone with initiative and the ability to execute effective work practices.

Working days and hours are flexible. This position has been advertised as full-time however we are also happy to offer this as a 4 day part-time position.

Skills and experience


Our non-negotiables include the following:

  • Outstanding technical skills in accounting/bookkeeping and GST (3+ years work experience in public practice + Accounting qualification as a minimum)
  • Hands-on experience with Xero and/or other cloud based accounting packages and confidence in using new technologies
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients that have varying levels of financial and tech knowledge
