Warehouse Operator

BioMars Australian business unit in Tasmania is currently constructing an industry leading fish feed production mill at Wesley Vale, located between Shearwater and Devonport.  The mill is due for completion in January 2020 and these roles will be integral to ensuring the factory meets its production targets.

About the position

To support the expansion of the business we are seeking four warehouse operators to work in our raw material and finished goods warehouses on day shift.

These roles are based at our Wesley Vale site and are responsible for receiving raw materials, ensuring raw material is stored and loaded into appropriate locations ready for production usage and inventory management of finished goods including loading containers and trucks.   Reporting directly to the Warehouse Team Leader, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Safe operation of forklift trucks and loaders
  • Movement, stacking and packing of raw materials and finished goods
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • Input of raw material into the production silos
  • Operation of packing equipment
  • Base level inventory management
  • Computer and scanning operation for raw material and finished goods tracking

Successful Candidate

We are searching for experienced warehouse operators who value safety and efficiency.  The successful candidates will likely have:

  • 5+ years experience operating forklifts moving bulk goods
  • Experience handling bulk raw materials
  • Experience entering/maintaining data into an ERP system such as SAP or M3
  • Positive attitude
  • High level of safety awareness
