About the Role

  • Are you experienced in Project Engineering Management
  • Do you enjoy planning and leading studies that contribute to the improvement of practices, design and engineering, procurement and contracts and cost scheduling
  • Are you a strategic and tactical thinker with the ability to influence and drive change


We currently have a great full time Engineering Manager opportunity available in our regional office in Perth, Western Australia. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading consultants and business teams to complete work in alignment with cost parameters, timeframes and fit for purpose.

In This Role You Will:

  • Support studies and projects, M&A activities, operations and regional project teams
  • Coordinate and ensure the application of value improvement practices on studies and projects
  • Support the development of Project Engineers, study managers and engineering managers between the Projects and Corporate pool
  • Drive and coordinate the creation of business objectives and business cases based on company strategies
  • Direct the execution planning, design, engineering, procurement, cost, scheduling and construction activities through coordinating the efforts of various internal departments and outside consulting resources
  • Review, evaluate and approve contracts for work that will be performed by consultants and external contractors by monitoring budgets, plants and designs
  • Understand and manage business with a risk management mindset to identify and manage potential risks
Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience Checklist

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • A minimum of twelve (12) years' experience in project engineering management within a mining environment
  • Proven track record in project execution and solid mine/process operation knowledge with a demonstrated commitment to the successful implementation of an investment
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and be comfortable with moving between a strategic and tactical mindset
  • Sound ability to manage and influence others
