The Role:

We are looking for a high calibre and experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead and develop our Halloran Workshop to deliver safe and efficient vehicle reliability across our bus fleet.

Based in Halloran, the role offers a genuine opportunity to consolidate your people leadership skills and apply your technical expertise in automotive heavy diesel repairs and maintenance.  An additional focus of the role will be building solid external relationships with government authorities and suppliers to promote our reputation as a quality provider of safe and reliable transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the daily functions of the workshop so that daily peak vehicle requirements are met or exceeded.
• To manage vehicle maintenance workflow particularly in the areas of vehicle servicing and repairs, job card preparation and assignment, maintenance record filing, ordering of spare parts and materials, monitoring of workshop Key Performance Indicators and updating of the Companys ERP maintenance system.
• To conduct the monthly workshop toolbox talks, and report the minutes of such meetings
• To ensure that the depot fleet is maintained to a safe and presentable standard that consistently meets the regulations of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and Roads & Maritime Services.
• To manage and ensure adherence to the approved workshop Repair & Maintenance budget.
• Ensuring appointed sub-contractors perform work in accordance with agreed vehicle maintenance standards.

Skills, attributes and experience which are essential to succeed in this role: 

• Demonstrated experience in automotive heavy diesel repair and maintenance.
• Leadership and supervisory experience gained within challenging frontline work environments.
• Strong knowledge of WHS requirements within a heavy vehicle repair workshop.
• Well-honed written communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to confidently deliver outcomes with stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation.
• A pragmatic, professional and energetic approach to 'getting things done' with a high level of independence and autonomy.
• A minimum MR licence, or the ability to obtain.
