The Opportunity

A highly reputable construction company, established over 10 years ago (offices Sydney, ACT, Queensland, Melbourne) are on the lookout for a talented Contracts Administrator to join their team. You will be working alongside a Construction Director, working across Contracts Admin / Cost Planning for high end repeat clients for the business.

Over time, our client has developed long term relationships, built an outstanding reputation for themselves and have created an environment where Directors are always on hand and accessible to clients and employees. 85% of their business is repeat.

Our client has a proud history of delivering refurbishment and fitout projects throughout NSW across sectors including Commercial, Education, Government, Retail and Hospitality.  
Projects typically $200K - $10M

Your main duties will be:

  • Letting of contracts
  • Working closely with the Director on larger contracts 
  • Tender comparisons and sample submissions
  • Attending regular client meetings along with the Director
  • Document control and purchasing
  • Getting involved in cost planning, budgeting and weekly/monthly reporting

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a Construction related field
  • Some experience in Estimating and Cost planning would be ideal
  • Experience in the use of Cubit is a must and Jobpac/Procure would be ideal but can get training
  • Have minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a reputable builder
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to produce professional documentation
  • Be a self-starter and highly motivated
  • Have a good understanding of the Construction Industry
