About the role

A six-month maternity leave contract with an opportunity to extend.

The Executive Assistant and Events Manager is primarily responsible for:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the CEO, including all diary and email management; coordinating all domestic and international travel; managing monthly expenses; and frequent liaison with domestic and international counterparts
  • Preparation of documents for all meetings and appointments
  • Planning, creating and delivering company events (in conjunction with company divisions), including conferences, roadshows, launches and parties
  • Providing ad hoc support to the Hachette Australia Board including assisting with small projects and maintaining an effective and confidential filing system
  • Managing the Office Administrator and Administration Assistant
  • General office management

About you

  • A minimum of five years of experience as an Executive Assistant
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management
  • Budget management skills
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Professional standards of personal presentation
