Our International Portfolio is responsible for international student services, language training and offshore projects. This role sits in the International Language Centre.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to take on a role with a high level government department on a prestigious project. You will need business management skills with strong interpersonal skills (rather than IT or finance project skills).
Reporting to the Lead - Language and Learning, you will be responsible for managing one of our largest clients and contracts providing language and cultural tutoring services across 28 languages.
Your key duties will include:
Fostering and building a culture of "client care", by providing personalised, exceptional, high quality service
Proactively recognising client needs and broker appropriate solutions
Cultivating, maintaining, building and cementing client relationships
Managing client contracts to ensure products and services align with requirements and deliverables are met
Managing project based client, subject matter experts and stakeholder relationships
Analysing data for trends and writing reports to present results and opportunities to clients
Promote a culture of continuous improvements
Identifying and support logistics required for delivering on client requirements. This can sometimes mean getting your hands dirty and looking after room bookings, etc if admin support is not available
Participating in validation and evaluation processes
Ensuring invoices are issued and payments are coordinated

You will primarily work from the client premises in Forrest, (Canberra, Australia)
Deep understanding of client engagement and proven record of building long term relationships with client, peers and tutors
Ability to synthesise relevant information on key milestones, success criteria and risks

Resilience, and the ability and willingness to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience
A demonstrable track record in successful client and contract management
A tertiary qualification in business management or equivalent will be highly regarded and/or substantial Vocational competence
Previous experience working with language tutoring/ educational services (desirable)
Demonstrated experience in a cross-cultural environment
You must have the right to live and work in Australia
A security clearance will be highly regarded. If you do not have one, you would need to apply for one upon commencement.
