Undertake high level and advanced electrical asset inspections and work associated with the manufacture, testing, installation and maintenance of traffic signal hardware and related assets and other systems and associated equipment and ensure that it meets quality standards.
Undertake high level installation, maintenance, and repair work on various intelligent transport system assets (ITS).
Identify traffic signal equipment malfunctions and faults and provide alternative solutions to complex operational problems when required, including identifying traffic flow or congestion issues.
Undertake and complete all relevant training to ensure currency of knowledge on signal and ITS assets.
Provide advanced technical support and undertake electronic fault-finding and electrical repair.
Monitor road network conditions using CCTV, SCATS, STREAMS and other control and monitoring systems and report and respond to identified faults and defects.
Utilise the Traffic Signals Maintenance fault and defect management system Reflect, to respond and remediate reported signal and other asset issues, and undertake necessary fault call backs.
Perform and manage the planning and delivery of programmed works in consultation with the relevant Senior Technical Officer and/or Statewide Works Coordinator.
Current Electrical Practitioners Licence
A current drivers licence.
