We require up to 80 people to assist with Banana farm work in the Lakeland QLD region.
Positions will commence from late December and are expected to last between 6 and 9 months. This work is very physical and summer time temperatures reach over 40 degrees
Banana Humping - Involves reaching above your head to cut banana bunches from the tree or catching banana bunches of up to 80kg and carrying them to a trailer. Humping is one of the most strenuous jobs on the farm.
Banana Paddock Work - de-suckering, dieseling, spading, stringing and bagging.
Banana Shed Work - de-handing, grading and hanging
Banana Packing - working in the shed sorting and packing bananas to meet specific criteria. You will be required to meet minimum speeds after training.
Avocado Picking and Packing - picking avocados outdoors, working in the shed sorting and packing avocados to meet specific criteria. You will be required to meet minimum speeds after training.
Drug and alcohol tests will be conducted prior to beginning and during the period of employment.

*Applicants from outside the Atherton area must demonstrate a commitment to living in the area for the period of employment
