We currently have a very hard to come across leadership opportunity in our Melbourne office. The Portfolio Director will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the companys Lifestyle events portfolio as well as leading and coaching an events team. You will have overall responsibility for the development of event strategy budgets, sales plans and marketing strategies. You will manage the event team and work with central service teams, providing hands on support throughout the whole event management and delivery process. You will also be managing and developing key client, industry and supplier partnerships and relationships.
Deliver events that provide exceptional experiences and genuine value for the communities they serve
Develop full understanding of customers and markets , keeping on top of market and industry trends
Development & execution of event plans and budgets
Accountability for achieving key financial, event and customer metrics
Build and maintain a solid and long term relationship with exhibitors, sponsors and suppliers.
Lead, coach and develop a high performing events team
Manage day to day operation of the Melbourne office
Previous experience in event management and project management
Experience managing consumer shows is highly regarded
Experience/knowledge of key event management functions; sales, marketing and operations
Strong leadership and people management experience
Sound technical and operational event knowledge
Excellent planning, organisational, time management & account management skills
Strong management skill & interpersonal skills
Strong business acumen and financial management skills
Customer centric and ability to build strong and long lasting customer relationship.
Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
Strong rostering and cost management experience
