On behalf of our client, a leading supplier of educational resources across Australia, we are looking to secure an experienced and passionate Account Manager to support High Schools across NSW & ACT with a dedicated focus on Science and Technology.
In this role you will be required to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in High Schools in your territory, providing advice to drive increased and improved awareness of this well-recognised and respected sector within the wider business activities. With a focused interest in Science and Technology you will introduce teachers and students to a broad and deep variety of resources for the best possible learning outcomes.
You may currently be an experienced Account Manager, or perhaps you have teaching or science laboratory experience and you are looking for a change. Irrespective you must be passionate about Education and have a deep understanding of the NSW School Syllabus, in particular Science.
To be successful in this new and highly visible position, you must be competent and capable of building and developing relationships and networks with key decision makers in High Schools.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement the sales strategy for your territory to maximise brand awareness and opportunities for growth;
Build and develop strong relationships with key contacts and decision makers in High Schools across your territory, through regular visits and contact;
Possess the ability, motivation and drive to present multiple SKUs, products and ranges.
Identify, develop and continually update and maintain a working contact list of teachers in CRM system;
Proactively identify additional resources or promotional needs within your customer base;
Work closely with key client influencers to promote benefits and increased product awareness across all teachers;
Maintain accurate data in CRM system;
Provide reliable and consistent first class customer service.
To be selected for this significant position you must display the following attributes:
Experience in a similar role with the Education Sector, Science sector or relevant High School teaching experience;
A deep understanding of the NSW High School Syllabus, in particular Science;
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
Effective listening, influencing and negotiating skills;
Solution sales skills experience;
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously;
CRM Sales Force
In this role your success will be measured on your ability to identify and contact all relevant schools/education offices, and identify key decision makers/influencers in order to maximise sales opportunities. Therefore your proven experience gained within the education sector or science related sales sector, and your ability to build strong relationships is prerequisite.
