Leading Australian fruit company about to harvest cherry crop, Requires a dynamic sales manager to drive and coordinate export sales, Excellent remuneration, 10-week contract, Tasmania.
Client Our client is one of Australia’s largest cherry producers with a focus on producing premium fresh cherries for export markets, particularly in Asia. We are currently looking for a Seasonal Sales Manager for the 2019-2020 cherry season to assist with export sales. The position will be based at the packing facility located at Huon Highway, Huonville in Tasmania, and the period of employment will be approximately 9-10 weeks from mid December 2019 until early February 2020.
Role The position will involve liaising with export customers and co-ordinating export sales during the cherry season including export documentation, freight logistics, export protocol compliance and other export sales related tasks. The position would suit someone with experience in one or more of the following areas;
Fresh produce, particularly perishable product
Preparation of documentation relating to export sales and freight
Export freight logistics and import requirements
However, applicants without this experience but with suitable experience in other areas should still apply as the company will provide on the job training for the right person willing to learn. The Seasonal Sales Manager will form part of a sales team under the guidance of the Manager, Marketing & Sales.
Remuneration There is a very generous remuneration package offered for the position. This reflects the nature of the export cherry business which at times involves working long hours and 7 days a week during the season.
