Black Insitu Testing is a growing specialist geotechnical testing company based in Melbourne with projects Australia wide.
What the role entails:
Cone Penetration Testing Offsider is an entry level position in specialist geotechnical testing and on the job training will be provided.
Fly in fly out (FIFO) projects.
Manual labour working 12 hours per day for up to 14 days.
Day to day tasks include helping perform various geotechnical tests, lifting and moving equipment, recording data by hand and electronically, ensuring areas are maintained in a clean, tidy & safe condition, maintenance of equipment, and other tasks on the test sites as directed.
Able to live and work in mine camps in remote locations.
Long-term casual positions available potentially leading to full time positions.
Hourly rate of $39.00 plus away allowance.
Typical roster is 2 weeks on 1 week off but can vary.
All travel, accommodation and meals provided.
All required training provided.
What qualities would make you an ideal candidate for these positions:
Manual drivers licence.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work in a team.
Good problem-solving skills.
Able and willing to pass pre-employment and on-going medical and drug tests
Hold or be willing to gain, at our expense, 4WD (RIIVEH305E), first aid (HLTAID003), CPR (HLTAID001) and Heavy Rigid vehicle licence.
