About the role

The Management Accountant is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive suite of reports to ensure financial performance is accurately reported, easily understood and drives appropriate commercial outcomes.

Skills and experience

The main duties of the role include:

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Planning and co-ordinating the annual budget process
  • Prepare consolidated reporting with detailed insights into expected performance
  • Monthly forecasting of all business units

Management Reporting:

  • Weekly Management reports for Spectran Environmental Management
  • Monthly Management reports for Spectran Contracting
  • Monthly Consolidated reporting for the Spectran Group
  • Analysis of revenue and expenditure, gross margin bench-marking

Cash Flow:

  • Preparation of cash flow statements
  • Daily cash and treasury management
  • Relationships with Financial Institutions

Financial Accounting:

  • Assist in preparation of consolidated financial reports
  • Continuous improvement focus
  • Maintain internal control systems

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Advanced skills in all applications of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commercial finance skills.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Knowledge and experience with finance systems and general ledgers.
  • Debtor finance experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work toward and achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise initiative
  • Ability to prioritise competing task requirements and workload.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually
