Supply Chain Operational Planner

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Operational Planner to join our Brisbane CBD team for a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

The Supply Chain Operational Planner provides customer focused capacity solutions through the integration of infrastructure and network planning and yard capacity processes into the development of the Operational Daily Train Plan for all Supply Chain Corridors and stakeholders. This is a critical role within our Supply Chain South team in a day-of-operations environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and schedule train services on the nominated network in accordance with Rail Operator capacity entitlements, agreed possession plans, Queensland Rail Policy, and other regulatory and commercial requirements.
  • Coordinate, develop and plan all possessions and train alterations to meet legislative and contractual requirements and integrate these plans into an operational daily train plan.
  • Consult, negotiate and respond promptly to customer's infrastructure and train scheduling requests and identify, analyse and resolve any customer issues relating to the operation of services on the network.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the allocation of maintenance windows and track possessions minimise the disruption to contracted rail services.
  • Develop Daily Train Plan Diagrams and associated train notices and assist in the rescheduling of services due to operational variations.
  • Promote the concepts of integrated supply chain planning and identify and implement throughput opportunities to provide additional benefit to all supply chain stakeholders.

Starting salary: $90, 573 + super + rail pass (home and duty)
