Entertainment Sales Manager

Book incredible entertainment & liaise with our corporate clients including iconic brands such as: Nova100, Redbull, Porsche, Tiffany & Co., Richmond FC, Melbourne FC, Carlton FC, Melbourne Storm & many more. ABOUT US

Venues that we work with regularly include: Crown, Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, Zonzo Estate, Stones Yarra Valley, Coombe Estate, Quat Quatta & various other Yarra Valley/Mornington Peninsula wedding venues. Entertainment that we frequently book include DJs, Hybrid DJs (who can play sax/sing), acoustic solos/duos, bands, roving entertainment, photo booths. Were able to boast that we have more 'Hybrid DJs' & Complete Soloists than any other entertainment agency in Melbourne  

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS:

  • End-to-end client management
  • Developing concepts and quotes for entertainment aligning to various events
  • Converting sales & invoicing clients
  • Scheduling events, managing and implementing bookings
  • Strategically taking a holistic perspective on events to up-sell more than entertainment
  • Managing, booking and briefing entertainers
  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors
  • Coordinating logistics with venues
  • Building customer and brand awareness & loyalty
  • Daily, weekly & monthly administration tasks
  • Running errands and organising equipment

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sales experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, phone manner and customer service
  • A love of numbers & hunger to hit bonus targets
  • A car and valid license
  • A mobile phone that you are willing to use for work purposes that has unlimited calls & texts & sufficient monthly data
  • A private work uninterrupted space in your own home with:
    • Fast Internet connection
    • Desk
    • Laptop Computer (must be relatively new & quick, preferably a Macbook)
  • Experience in entertainment, event management or hospitality industries with success in customer service
  • Efficiency & speed with using computers & Google Spreadsheets (Excel)
  • Ability to be self-driven whilst working independently on multiple tasks without supervision
  • Autonomy in problem-solving with a clear vision and creative thinking
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Motivated for business growth, continuous improvement and sales success

OFFER & REMUNERATION 

  • First-year wage: $50,000 base salary + superannuation + bonuses
  • Bonuses are expected to fall between $4k-$15k per annum and are based on profit increase on the previous year & personal performance
  • Full-time commitment. 40 hours per week broken down as per below
  • Typical week (Monday to Friday 8 hours) - either 8:30-4:30pm or 10:30-6:30pm, staggered with other Entertainment Sales Managers
  • Flexibility to work a few hours on weekends and attend events outside of working hours as required

 

POTENTIAL PROGRESSION PATHWAYS

  • Entertainment Sales Manager (1-2 years) 
    • $55,000-$65,000
  • Senior Entertainment Sales Manager (1-2 years):
    • $61,000-$76,000
  • Sales Executive & Business Development (2-4 years):
    • $72,500-$87,500
  • General Manager:
    • $82,500-$95,000
