About This Opportunity
As the Venue Coordinator you will be responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and promotion of UQ’s Brisbane City Campus venue. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the facility, operations and all events for both internal and external clients are represented at a high level of excellence, appearance and professionalism.
This position is located at our UQ Brisbane City venue, the University’s newest site in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. Home to students and professionals from select postgraduate programs and UQ Executive Education courses, UQ Brisbane City is a unique space where students, alumni, industry and government can create, connect and innovate.
Our Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you should possess relevant degree qualifications in business, events or hospitality management with subsequent relevant event staff supervision experience of a minimum of 5 years; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training.
You will have demonstrated and successful experience in venue and event sales, marketing and promotions and proven experience in rostering and supervising staff, including casuals.
You will have proven experience in catering, hospitality and event bookings, set up and budgeting of events and previous demonstrable understanding of financial operations including processing customer invoices, requisitions, quoting of work and materials and accurate financial management of client accounts.
You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.

What We Can Offer
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 6.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,400 - $83,267, plus super of up to 17% and recreation leave loading of 17.5%.
