Reporting to the Team Leader Local Laws Business Support, this is an opportunity to provide a responsive range of efficient and effective administrative support services to the Local Laws Department and community
Deliver a positive public image and high quality customer service by promptly and courteously answering telephones and counter enquiries.
Respond to incoming complaints/concerns from the community, ratepayers, councillors and internal stakeholders.
Assess incoming letters of objection in line with Council policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
Update and maintain the integrity of systems to corporate standards.
Skills and Experience
Experience in a high pressure customer service environment (essential).
Proficiency in the use of personal computers and IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Property and Rating, ECM and Weave (essential).
Proficiency in the application of administrative procedures, including answering telephone and counter enquiries, preparing standard correspondence, issuing permits and filing (desirable).
A sound knowledge or ability to gain the knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws relating to the functions and responsibilities of the Local Laws Department (desirable).
