Part time position until October 2020 - 22.8 hours per week, Learn the ins and outs of Local Laws, $66,072 - $71,395 plus super (Pro rata to be applied).

Reporting to the Team Leader Local Laws Business Support, this is an opportunity to provide a responsive range of efficient and effective administrative support services to the Local Laws Department and community

 

 

Duties

  • Deliver a positive public image and high quality customer service by promptly and courteously answering telephones and counter enquiries.
  • Respond to incoming complaints/concerns from the community, ratepayers, councillors and internal stakeholders.
  • Assess incoming letters of objection in line with Council policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Update and maintain the integrity of systems to corporate standards.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a high pressure customer service environment (essential).
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Property and Rating, ECM and Weave (essential).
  • Proficiency in the application of administrative procedures, including answering telephone and counter enquiries, preparing standard correspondence, issuing permits and filing (desirable).
  • A sound knowledge or ability to gain the knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws relating to the functions and responsibilities of the Local Laws Department (desirable).
