Payroll Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stockland for a Payroll Manager, based in the Sydney Head Office, to lead the payroll team to ensure process and systems are in place to deliver the fortnightly payroll cycle. You will be responsible for the payroll of our diverse workforce of approximately 1500 staff, that cover a broad range of role types and award coverage.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Support and enhance the payroll delivery model to ensure Stockland is provided with a consistently high level of support, consistent messages and accurate data.
  • Develop and implement best practice strategies, policies, processes and tools (systems) to align with the HR Strategy.
  • Monitor and control payroll related activities to ensure compliance with audit requirements, where necessary ensure any audit items are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the continuous improvement of the payroll delivery model, processes and tools.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders to grow business knowledge and to enhance Payroll profile and reputation within the business.
  • Effectively engage external (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors. RosterOn, State Revenue and ATO) stakeholders.
  • Build on knowledge and understanding of workplace laws and practices relating to Industrial Relations and Health & Safety and how these are practiced and applied within Stockland.
  • Manage and coach the Payroll team to achieve agreed deliverables.
  • Ensure Payroll team members have clear and meaningful objectives and achievable development plans.
  • Identify, lead and own organisational improvement initiatives.

About you;

  • Experience with SAP Payroll and ideally SAP SuccessFactors
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Exposure to paying diverse workforces (blue and white collar)
  • Proven technical skills related to payroll management
  • Project management experience
  • A proven track record of delivery and process improvement
