About the role
This is an integral role and will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and be a trusted advisor to the four Area Managers. You will strategically lead a Team of five Event Coordinators and strategically influence the key promotional Events in line with Defence capability requirements.
Your key objective will be the ongoing execution of the Regional Events plan for campaigns and activities designed to increase the Candidate pool with the right candidates at the right time to achieve Enlistment and Appointment Targets.
You will also support the business to achieve the desired outcomes by understanding the National Marketing strategy and leveraging this across the Region.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Leveraging and integrating national media campaigns at a local level
Assisting with training and development of Event Coordinators
Management of the preparation and approval of the Regional Event sourcing strategies and plans for NSW and ACT.
Driving best practice, consistency and standardisation across the region
Internal and external stakeholder engagement and networking.
Planning and delivery of Events and partnerships within defined budgets to achieve desired application volumes.
Key communication channel between DFR HQ Marketing and the local Team’s.
Quality control management within Region by conducting regular audits of processes and tools.
Measure application volumes on behalf of Regional Manager and Area Managers and conduct gap analysis and implement strategies to rectify.
Your background, skills and experience:
Team Leader experience in a results driven environment, ideally in a recruitment or a service industry
A tertiary qualification in Business, Events or Marketing will be highly regarded.
Proven success in careers promotions and / or event campaign management or media.
Suitable for an individual with experience driving to Target and KPI Achievement and results driven working in a fast paced environment
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Be able to obtain and hold a Security Clearance
Be able to travel often
