Service Engineer Mechanical

 

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting position for an experienced Service Engineer who wishes to further their career with advanced automation systems. This role will have a central focus on providing customers with automation support through project, service, breakdown and maintenance work. Also to work with the rest of the Scott team to ensure sharing ideas and knowledge.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Service

  • Perform mechanical maintenance on Scott built machines and other equipment our clients may have
  • Work on robotic applications, automated machinery and processing equipment
  • Perform breakdown maintenance as required
  • Use workshop machinery to produce mechanical parts
  • Install commission machines, local, interstate and international.
  • Be responsible for workmanship and be able to work independently

 

Customer Service

  • Ensure the company is represented in a professional manner when dealing with customers.
  • Provide technical assistance directly to customers and other SCOTT staff.
  • Respond to all customer enquiries.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance to project and other service engineers.
  • Whilst providing the required technical support, proactively source other opportunities available to provide further services.

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Prior experience working independently at customer facilities
  • Experience working on robotic applications, automated machinery and processing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrating an ability in welding (MIG & TIG); operation of lathes, mill, drill and  other plant
  • Able to learn new computer, robot or PLC software
  • Comfortable with construction and installation of mechanical and electrical machines

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Technician trade certificate
  • Preferably a dual trade Mechanical & Electrical
