Elliott Gray is delighted to be partnering with YMCA Canberra in this critical appointment of Executive Director ELC. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of 5 ELC across the North of Canberra. Your duties will include the management of the centres both strategically and operationally, management of 6 direct reports and approximately 280 casual staff.


What is expected of you in this position
You will be looking at the current operations of the business and assessing where efficiencies and growth will come from. You will then execute your vision to ensure smart allocations and increased occupancy rates, whilst maintaining the strong value proposition of the YMCA service offering.


Who you are
Ideally coming from the Education sector, you will bring a strong knowledge of the industry to ensure maintenance of all legislative and governance requirements. In addition to this, you have strong commercial and business acumen and be able to demonstrate your general business management expertise, especially for growth.


  
YMCA requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

  • a national criminal history check;
  • an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
  • holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance / equivalent in accordance with state / territory laws;
  • Two reference checks.
