The Glasses for Kids program aims to assist children in the most disadvantaged areas of Victoria to access comprehensive vision testing and the provision of glasses where required. Further to this, the program aims to remove vision impairments as a significant potential barrier to educational engagement. State Schools Relief works with a number of organisations to deliver the Glasses for Kids program in 340 Victorian state schools, across a 4.5 year period.
In this role, you will provide high-level administrative support to the GFK Project Manager. The core functions of the role include effective communication skills for liaising with school students, staff and other program stakeholders, agenda preparation and minute taking in meetings. Additionally, you will actively maintain an effective records management system with a focus on identifying and implementing routine process improvements.
Our ideal candidate will have proven prior experience in the provision of high-level administrative support within a corporate environment. Practical and reliable, your excellent communication skills and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring your success in this role. You will possess well-developed communication, organisational and stakeholder relations skills with proficiency across Microsoft Office suite and you will also need to be comfortable working in a continually evolving and improvement focused environment.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:
- experience in the provision of high-level administrative support within a corporate environment
- well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce accurate work (attention to detail is key)
- proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, with all aspects of record keeping, database management and preparation of routine correspondence
